Data Protection Act 1998 The Data Protection Act defines the legal responsibilities of data users such as yourselves. The Act governs the collection, storage, use and transfer of personal data, for example, name, address, email, age, etc.
Accuracy and Use We are committed to respecting the privacy of users entering this site and we recognise the importance of the responsible use of information collected on this site. We will do our best to maintain the accuracy of the personal information you supply to us. We will not sell or rent your personally identifiable, company identifiable or project identifiable information to anyone.
Aggregated data
From time to time BRE may use the aggregated waste data to determine performance indicators such as:
• Environmental Performance Indicator (EPI): m3 of waste /100m2 of floor area (as an actual and bulk volume) • Key Performance Indicator (KPI); m3 of waste/£100,000 of project value
These data will only be used at the aggregated level and will never enable company or project level information to be disclosed.

Data security
This is governed by normal industry practices of network control and server administration for applications of this class.
All stored data is securely managed with data management policies designed to be able to recover from disasters with only 24 hour (during working days) data loss.
The data is not available for use or accessible by anyone apart from the registered user and BRE staff involved in the project.
